Each Alpha-Cellulose mat in the Conservation Show Kits is individually cut to precision with computer-guided technology and features an acid-free, lignin-free core. The top cut mat is available in Matboard.Com’s full range of colors while the back mat comes in our Super White (unless otherwise specified). To ensure a lifetime of protection, our Conservation Show Kits do not feature any recycled materials.

• Our acid-free mat boards are sourced from Crescent’s industry-leading selection, ensuring consistency and precision from color to thickness.
• Standard mats are available in 4-ply unless otherwise noted. 
• Conservation quality matboard is acid-free and lignin-free throughout the surface, with a white core and backing, unless otherwise noted.
• Mats are bevel cut at the opening unless otherwise specified.
• All Conservation Show Kits meet the conservation standards set by the Fine Art Trade Guild.
• Mats are buffered with calcium carbonate to an alkaline reserve of 3-5% pH 8.5-9.5.
